Not only does Farmers Insurance Suck, Farmers Insurance Really Sucks!
(I think their lawyers do too, but that's another story :-)

If you tried to reach the insurance carrier "Farmers" may I suggest a better company?
Pretty much any one will do. AAA, State Farm, Geico, Progressive, darn near anyone. AIG has a lot of "fan sites" out there, so you may want to avoid them too. Also, if you hear that a company is using the "Colossus" software package to adjust claims, avoid them and send me their name.

Visitor counter will be back soon ;)

I'm sure one of the first questions someone would ask is "why?", I mean why deal with the lawyers hassling you, the constant site maintenance, hosting, domain registration, some amount of hate mail (though that's easily offset by the positive mail), site promotion, etc.? Because I was, and still am, pissed off.

If you read my story, and the editorial about free speech, you'll get a sense of what the problems are. Now I know I'm done. I'll never see another dime for my troubles and that's fine. What I will do is everything I can to prevent another person from being screwed as I was. I can not stress enough that if you have Farmers Insurance, drop them. If you have been involved in an accident with an individual insured by Farmers do not talk to them beyond the exchange of insurance info, drivers license info, and a phone number. Do not talk to a Farmers agent at any time, for any reason. If they call you refer them to your lawyer, giving them only the lawyers name, number, and the case number. If you do not yet have a lawyer, politely inform them that you are interviewing legal service providers and that you would be happy to get their name, contact number, and case number, and will have the lawyer call them once you've decided who to retain. That's it. Nothing else needs to be said, or should be said. In my adventures through all this legal hassle, I learned three things:
   * Lawyers don't like Farmers Insurance
   * My insurance company (AAA) doesn't like Farmers Insurance
   * If you've talked to Farmers Insurance, a lawyer will refuse to take your case.

In fact, if you've been in an accident with a Farmers insured and you are even remotely unsure of how you feel take an ambulance to the hospital. Why? Because if you took an EMT ride to the hospital Farmers Insurance software will weight your claim differently, and you're more likely to get a fair settlement. Please note that I used to be really pissed with people who would take an EMT ride over a minor accident. After what my wife and I went through, I've changed my mind, at least in regards to dealing with Farmers. With them honesty and forthrightness no only goes un-rewarded, you're penalized for it. Get every edge you can and you may get a "fair" settlement.

Well, here it is, the new site.  Welcome to my (mostly) static HTML pages.
Why the change?
Well the PHP Nuke site, while it made content management easy, also had some security vulnerabilities.  Even though I made a point to use available tools to close some of those vulnerabilities, I found that I was spending far too much time working on site maintenance and not enough time on actual content (none really).  One of the biggest problems was comment spam for adult sites and products.  I deleted several per week.  Since the site really didn't need all of that, I figured it would be easier to simply switch over to plain HTML.

So, without further ado Welcome!
